Today we met some great people and the place we camped was amazing. Oh, and the trail was a blast to travel.
When it was time to find a camping spot we were traveling along a ridge and we said we wished we could camp where we could have a clear view of the valley. Five minutes later we drove by a home which had a great view of the valley. We turned around, went back to the home, and asked the owners if they would allow us to camp on their lawn. They said that would be ok and also offered us cold water and Gatorade along with a shower if we wanted one. We took them up on the drink offer but choose to use their garden hose for bathing and laundry. It never got below 88 degrees all night but the breeze blowing up the ridge gave us a very comfortable nights sleep. Thank you Walt and Joan for sharing your beautiful land.
